Telehouse East POP Half-Racks – act quick!

Hot off the press, we’ve had notice from a partner company that they have a couple of half racks including power available in Telehouse East. For many it is difficult to justify POP’ing ‘East’ as the cost of a full rack is seemingly prohibitive to having the site on-net. To wit, these prices provide an excellent opportunity to POP the site at low initial investment on short-term contracts.

Transit can be provided if need be also, but we would imagine that if you want space in East you probably wouldn’t need this – although we are sure OOB access would be welcomed 🙂

We have a number of half racks available within Telehouse East with individual lockable front and rear vented doors and 24/7 access

Half Rack in TFM41 with 1A Power (Additional AMP – £125/Mo) – £295/Month with £250 Setup
Half Rack in TFM72 with 3A Power (A & B Feeds – Additional Power Available) – £595/Month with £250 Setup

No commitment, 30 day terms, so when you expand, you can move in safe in the knowledge you don’t need to worry about paying for two sets of space.

Sound good? of course it does – get in touch now as this space won’t last long on the market.

C4L, Selection Services rebrand – now CORETX

Greetings! Many would have been notified this morning by Castle Street Investments that C4L and Selection Services are to be rolled into a new brand, CORETX.

CORETX isn’t however new – it’s the name that C4L’s next generation network has been branded as over the last few years.

Here’s a note from Andy Ross:

Following on from my last email I wanted to let you know we are excited to officially announce that Castle Street Investments and its recently acquired subsidiaries of C4L and Selection Services have rebranded to CORETX. Today I will be providing more detail on our company ambitions to the public and press in London at Cloud Expo, if you will be at the event, please do come and visit us on stand 431.

The name CORETX reiterates our Data Centre and Network infrastructure at the CORE of our service to you. Our connectivity to UK data centres, access to Public Cloud, our DDoS platform, flexible bandwidth and speed of deployment are the foundation blocks that enable us to deliver a variety of exceptional services to you.

I want to take this opportunity to stress that this merge of companies poses only positive opportunities for you as our Partner as we are now in a position to help increase your service offering. Our Partner Network is still one of the largest priorities for us here at CORETX and we will continue to strive for the best service for you to provide for your customers.

18% of UK Colo customers ready to switch DC’s

Recent research carried out by a data-centre operator has shown that 18.6% of colo clients nationally are ready to switch data-centres.

The research, carried out by managed hosting and colocation company CoreIX, shows that the major complaint is unexpected charges levied by their DC’s and the lack of pricing transparency.

With more new entrants to the marketplace over the last 24 months and the range of options available across the new pre-existing operators and new entrants, alongside falling pricing across the arena and more boutique-style offerings from a number of the new independent operators means that there has never been a better time to re-evaluate your existing commitments. Host Consult are perfectly placed to offer our advice and our assistance if your company is one of the 18%.

Get in touch and let us aid you in ensuring you are aware of all the best that the marketplace has to offer.

C4L acquired in £20.2m consideration

Hot off the press comes the news this morning that Host Consult partner company C4L have been acquired by Cable Street Investments.

Peter Rigg, Chairman of MXC said:

“It’s good to see MXC continuing to support its investee companies this way, having both originated and executed this transformative acquisition for Castle Street. The Board of Castle Street has a clear fix on the market opportunity and we have great confidence in their ability to deliver.”

We’d like to offer our firm congratulations to Matt Hawkins and the team at C4L and wish the new company all the best for the future.
